2026 Hampton Ponds Fourth of July Parade (Hampton Ponds, Westfield, MA)

Date of Event: Jul4, 2026

Location: Hampton Ponds, Westfield, MA (2 hours southwest of Boston, MA)

Summary: Westfield, MA, celebrated the 250th anniversary of America’s independence with a family friendly extravaganza!

Westfield, MA, kicked off their 4th of July celebrations with their annual parade. The parade featured horses, vintage cars and lots of fun for the entire family!

Pixie is a 14 year old pony.
1957 Ford Thunderbird (“Baby Bird”)

Since this is the 250th anniversary of the celebration of the country’s independence, they really pulled out all the stops. Parade participants threw candy, necklaces with stars and other gifts to the people at the parade.

For those of you who may be from around the area, the 18 minute parade winded down a mile route from Hampton Ponds on East Mountain Rd to Froggy’s Saloon on Airport Industrial Park Rd.

People rode many modes of transportation during the parade from horses to bicycles and some other fancy vehicles.

2016 Chevrolet Stingray Z51

But, my favorite vehicle from the parade was the DeLorean (aka as Marty McFly’s time traveling car) Flux Capacitor and hat from the sequel included!

Meanwhile, some participants chose to walk along the parade route.

There was also lots of music at the event!

Sarah The Fiddler

If you look closely at the photos, you can see just how everyone at the parade was so happy. It was a very rewarding experience seeing and capturing people’s smiles. We need more events like this where people can just come together and enjoy these moments.

Attached are videos from the parade! Feel free to peruse my other videos on my YouTube channel.

Hi I'm Wayne. Welcome to my blog. I am a true New Englander through and through. I love everything about New England. I especially love discovering new places in New England and sharing my experiences with everyone. I tend to focus on the more unique and lesser known places and things in New England on my blog. Oh yeah, and I love dogs. I always try to include at least one dog in each of my blog posts. I discovered my love of photography a couple of years ago. I know, I got a late start. Now, I photograph anything that seems out of the ordinary, interesting, beautiful and/or unique. And I have noticed how every person, place or thing I photograph has a story behind it or him or her. I don't just photograph things or people or animals. I try to get their background, history or as much information as possible to give the subject more context and meaning. It's interesting how one simple photograph can evoke so much. I am currently using a Nikon D3200 "beginner's camera." Even though there are better cameras on the market, and I will upgrade some time, I love how it functions (usually) and it has served me well. The great thing about my blog is you don't have to be from New England, or even like New England to like my blog (although I've never met anyone who doesn't). All you have to like is to see and read about new or interesting places and things. Hopefully, you'll join me on my many adventures in New England! View all posts by New England Nomad
